Lucky Break win the Irvine & District Snooker League!
24/03/24
They have won the title with 2 matches to spare.
Lucky Break brushed Cuddles aside with a 9-3 victory. It was Cuddles third straight defeat.
Last years League Winners, Aces won a competitive and high scoring match against Nonny Pool Boys 7-5. It included 7 breaks over 30! This result means both Aces and Nonny Pool Boys still have a chance of finishing second!
After their first win of the season last week, Chalk is Cheap lost 7-5 to Century who have been the hardest team to predict recently.
Baize of Glory had another strong win against Irvine Strikers, 8-4. Their star performers were Colin Wiggins and Warren Fullarton who both one 3-0! Baize of Glory have been on a rich vein of form recently. In fact had the league been decided on the past 8 matches, they would be top. 1 draw and 7 wins means that they are favourites for second place! However their last 2 matches are against Aces and Lucky Break which could prove difficult to get the 2 points that they need.
Finally, with the largest victory of the night, Potting Bowlers beat You've Been Framed 10-2. Wullie Gelliburn and Andy Bilby both won 3-0. It was Wullie's first 3-0 of the season and Andy's first since week 1!
This week was Jaw Rattlers free week.
