Review of week 6

09/11/22

Screwballs cement their place at the top.

They had an 8-4 victory away to the Aces - their closest rivals. They are now undefeated with 6 wins on the spin! Aces now slip to fourth leaving Baize of Glory as Screwballs closest challengers. Niven's 3-0 win combined with an excellent win for Jason Bryden over Graeme Innes allowed Screwballs to increase their lead at the top.

Chancers were the latest team to emerge from Lochwinnoch with a loss. Another 3-0 win for Martyn Muir helped Baize of Glory win yet another home game- this time 9-3. A 31 break from Simon Clark was the only highlight for Chancers.

Point Break went one better than last week with a 9-3 win against Blue Arrows. Sophie Nix had her second 3-0 win in a row! Paul Williams also had a 3-0 win against Nik Speirs.

Century sneaked across the winning line with a 7-5 victory over Potting Bowlers. In the final frame a win for Ian Boyd could have given Potting Bowlers their first point, but it wasn't to be. Derek Muir's 2-1 win against Leo Moffat was the highlight for Potting Bowlers!

3-0 wins for both Sam McDonald and Steven Stamp set this match up nicely and it was to remain tight throughout the remaining frames. The teams split the next 6 frames with 2-1 victories for Christian Gibson and Stewart Garrick. That was Lucky Break's third draw in the last 4 weeks!

Tidy Rack won 8-4 against The Untouchables. A 3-0 win for Gary O'Neill was the major difference in this match. All other matches finished 2-1. This match had lots of close frames and the result could easily have been different.
