Week 16 , League Week 13 Review

Nonny Pool Boys had a convincing 8-4 victory over Century to stay 4 points clear at the top of the League. Jamie Lynn had a 37 break in his 2-1 win over Cameron Armstrong and Declyn Hood put the Pool Boys 4-2 ahead when also winning 2-1. John McNally of Century had a good 2-1 win over Gary McLaughlin who had a 47 break. Geo Edgar was in great break building form winning 3-0 over Paul Doherty with breaks of 79 (highest of the season to date) , 48 and 42 and in the process increased his lead at the top of the Individual Player Stats.

Baize of Glory are in sole second place in the League Table following a dominant 8-4 win over The Rack Pack. Sophie Nix put Baize 3-0 ahead including a break of 34 , her second 30+ break of the season. Stephen Shaw increased the lead with a close 2-1 win over Calvin Palmer , Stephen also having a break of 43. Adam Boyd of The Rack Pack closed the gap with a 2-1 win over Colin Wiggins . Warren Fullerton of Baize had a 30 break in his 2-1 win over Raymond Hamilton.

Aces slipped up at home when they were held to a 6-6 draw with Touching Cloth. Graeme Innes of Aces had a 53 break in his 2-1 win , Allan Duffy had 2 breaks of 33 in his 2-1 win over Robin Dunlop who also had a 32 break.Simon McDade of Touching Cloth had an excellent 3-0 win over Ian Reid before Ian Craig gave Aces the draw in a 2-1 win hitting a 38 break. A very good point earned by Touching Cloth who were missing their talisman player David Mitchell.

Lucky Break kept up the pressure on the top 3 with an 8-4 win over the improving Nonny Bashers.Steven Stamp and Graham McQuaid both got back to winning ways to put Lucky Break 5-1 ahead , Steven having a 32 break. James Higgins of Bashers maintained his excellent winning run with a 2-1 win over Graeme Dick. Jatinder Singh sealed the win for Lucky Break with a 2-1 victory over Chris Giffney , Jatinder having a 35 break and Chris a 37 break.

Cuddles had their second win in a row defeating Potting Bowlers. Cuddles Conor Davidson got the ball rolling with a 3-0 win over newcomer Blair Boyd , Willie Gelliburn of Potting Bowlers stopped the current winning run of Kris Ballantyne by winning 2-1. Stewart Garrick and Sam McDonald both won 2-1 to give Cuddles an 8-4 victory.

You've Been Framed miserable run continued when they lost 8-4 to Chalk is Cheap. Match was tied at 3-3 after Chris Byrne of YBF had won 2-1 , hitting a 32 break , Gerry Pentleton levelled for Chalk is Cheap and kept his winning run going when beating Craig Reid 2-1. Chalk is Cheap then took control as David Hodalksi had his first 3-0 win of the season and Victor Obonyo completed the match score by winning 2-1.

Next week sees the Nonny Pool Boys have the chance to avenge their only defeat in the League so far when they entertain You've Been Framed.
