Gary McLaughlin of Nonny Pool Boys had a 30 break in his 2-1 win, Declyn Hood put Nonny further ahead also with a 2-1 win. Jatinder Singh brought Lucky Break back into the match with his 2-1 win before Geo Edgar sealed the victory for Nonny Pool Boys with an emphatic 3-0 win over Graham McQuaid.

Century were brought back down to earth when their recent good run was ended by Nonny Bashers. Callum McKinnon and Chris Giffney had the Bashers ahead both with 2-1 scorelines , Joe Herring increased the lead further by beating Cameron Armstrong 2-1 on a final frame black ball , Joe having a 32 break and Cameron hitting a fine 47 break. James Higgins extended his winning run with yet another 3-0 win to give Nonny Bashers an excellent 9-3 victory and climbing up to 9th place in the League standings.

Chalk is Cheap got their first win in their last 6 matches with a good 8-4 win over Cuddles. Victor Obonyo and Scott Davidson put Chalk is Cheap on easy street winning 3-0 and 2-1 respectively. Gerry Pentleton also won 3-0 to put Chalk is Cheap 8-1 ahead. Kris Ballantyne won 3-0 to make the final score a little more respectable for Cuddles.

Baize of Glory took advantage of Lucky Break's defeat to move up into second place in the League with a too close for comfort win over the Potting Bowlers. This match went down to the final black in the last game and went in favour of Baize of Glory when Potting Bowlers Willie Gelliburn potted a tremendous final black only to see the cue ball agonisingly go in off , awarding the frame to Sophie Nix for a 2-1 win and a 7-5 win overall for Baize of Glory. Potting Bowlers had earlier trailed the match by 4 frames to 2 after Stephen Shaw and Colin Wiggins had both won 2-1. Ian Boyd of the Bowlers also won 2-1 to set up the final game which was tied at 1-1 before the final nail biting black.

Aces triumped 7-5 against a plucky Rack Pack side after flying ahead 5-1 when the unbeaten Graeme Innes won 3-0 and Allan Duffy won 2-1 , Graeme having a 59 break and Allan having breaks of 35 and 30. The Rack Pack rallied with wins for Patrick O'Connor 2-1 and Conor Reid 3-0. This win puts Aces into 3rd equal place in the League , tied with Lucky Break.

Touching Cloth edged You've Been Framed 7-5 in this middle of the table clash. Chris Byrne and Willie Brown both won 2-1 to put YBF 4-2 ahead , Brian McLevy pulled Touching Cloth back into contention with his 2-1 win before David Mitchell gave Touching Cloth the win with a 3-0 victory over Joe Ballantyne , David having a 30 break.

Next week sees the second part of the double header fixtures and Lucky Break will be looking to stop the run of League leaders Nonny Pool Boys with Baize of Glory and Aces also in the frame as the second half of the season gets underway.
